For Immediate Release:
Halifax, Nova Scotia — March 13, 2018 – QRA Corp, an emerging design verification technology firm, announced today that it has received funding of up to $749,068 from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP).
QRA Corp has received up to $799,000 in total contributions to date from the NRC-IRAP. This latest funding represents the largest contribution received, and will be used to support R&D of a requirements quality analysis toolset for significantly improving procurement processes and project development.
This announcement comes on the heels of QRA’s recent sale to the Royal Canadian Air Force for related quality analysis software intended to improve requirements compliance & quality within the Department of National Defence (DND). The software sold to the DND semi-automates the requirements quality analysis process by identifying ambiguities and inconsistencies — empowering DND teams with a foundation for confident & on-time project development.
“Working with the NRC IRAP has been a fantastic experience,” said Jordan Kyriakidis, QRA Co-founder & CEO. “We are very fortunate to work with such a high-calibre team. And this contribution will enable us to conduct high-risk, high-reward industrial research that vastly deepens our analysis of technical requirements documents.”
QRA’s mission is to accelerate the design process and reduce costs across industries building the most complex, mission and safety-critical systems. QRA achieves this mission by building design verification solutions that analyze complex systems and requirements at the most crucial stages of development – enabling engineers to author better requirements, detect design errors, and build with confidence.
