FAQs
General
QRA’s mission is to accelerate the design process and reduce costs across industries building the most complex, mission and safety-critical systems.
QRA achieves this mission with our software which analyzes requirements, the most crucial stage of development, enabling engineers to author better requirements, detect design errors, and build with confidence.
QVscribe is QRA’s flagship solution that provide customers with highly sophisticated analysis and insight backed by decades of research.
QVscribe
QVscribe is an add-in for Microsoft Word and Excel, Polarion, DOORS Next, and Jama that performs best-practices quality analysis, terminology consistency analysis, unit consistency analysis, and requirement similarity analysis on each individual requirement to help improve the clarity, consistency, and quality of requirements and technical documentation.
The combined analysis results enable the user to rapidly hone in on problematic requirements and see highlighted within them any inconsistent terminology that could lead to problems down the road. QVscribe has a strong focus on simplicity, usability, and integration to provide the most useful analysis information without disrupting or cluttering the user’s workflow.
QVscribe helps teams write clear requirements in less time. QVscribe scores individual requirements for clarity and improves the overall consistency of entire documents.
The QVscribe analysis runs entirely on individual workstations and is accessed within MS Word and MS Excel as an MS Office plug-in, as well as in Polarion, DOORS Next, and Jama requirements platforms. QVscribe for Teams includes a server application to share licenses and configurations across your team’s network.
Whether you are enforcing industry standards in the early project stages, collaborating across multiple teams, or ensuring correctness and indexing of domain-specific terminology, QVscribe makes the requirements analysis process more efficient for all users.
QVscribe is a great fit for many industries. Currently our top five are: Semiconductors, Automotive, Medical Devices, Aviation & Aerospace, Oil & Energy.
QVscribe allows users to automatically analyze their requirements. The tool finds ambiguities, inconsistencies, and violations of best practices and generates actionable reports. These reports can then be used to improve clarity and consistency, reducing quality review cycles and rework.
QVscribe has proven to reduce time and cost by 75% or more. QVscribe provides quality analysis and warnings, unit and term consistency analysis, requirements similarity analysis, and generates configurable analysis reports to share with your team.
QVscribe is not a requirements management tool; it is an analysis tool. QVscribe analyzes the actual terminology and sentence structure of textual requirements and provides quality scores and guidance to help improve their clarity and consistency.
QVscribe focuses on the detection and quality analysis of requirements in a document. In its current version, QVscribe automatically runs the following analyses:
Quality analysis: Scores each requirement on a scale from 1 to 5 using best practices guidelines. Any terminology causing problems in a requirement is shown highlighted.
Consistency analysis: The terminology and units in each requirement are scanned, enumerated, categorized, and listed.
Yes, QVscribe is set up to recognize certain terms as ambiguous, but this can be updated within your QVscribe configurations to fit your team’s needs.
QVscribe currently interfaces with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, Polarion, DOORS Next, and Jama.
QVscribe is able to extract and analyze requirements from all rquirements management tools. Connect with us and we can show you how.
